Most of the 1500 trees in the Native orchards are over 75 years old, but some may even have been around during the days of Santa Ana. Planted along the 5 miles of riverbank at Dos Rios, these trees produce small pecans with a thick shell. They yield a buttery, flavorful nut that is primarily sold for commercial use.
